I will leave the new bulbs for a while, and see what happens. I have thought of going to 3 Aquablue + and 2 true actinic, dropping an Actinic + in favor of the 3rd white bulb. Those 2 bulbs are actually very close in PAR values too, so maybe it will drop just a little blue, and be a touch more "white".

I believe it that your tort would like the blue, mine always did!!!!

Are you thinking of that actinic white? I actually think you may be onto something with adding another nice crisp white.

I will post some pictures for you tomorrow of the actinic whites only if you want. I have a few here but I'm only running one. I can throw a second one in the fixture. The other bulbs are two true actinics and a 14k

Great shots as usual, Mike. I too like a bit more in between the two full tank shots, as far as color goes that is.

I guess actinic white is a good term for the Geismann Aquablue+, yes that is what I am thinking of. Either that, or the 75/25 bulb from ATI, that bulb seems to be getting good reviews from "The Grim Reefer" on RC. I saw a few pics of a european frag system lit by T5, and WOW the colors were TREMENDOUS using just 2 colors of bulbs.

That would be cool! I have 5 total bulbs now, so I would end up with 3 white, 2 blue, but the actinic white bulbs are so crisp, that I really don't need a lot of blue.

Maybe it is the photographer in us Gene, I have never liked tanks that are REALLY blue, I always like a nice balanced spectrum.

Re: Documenting my 90 GAllon Tank!

Third is the combination of all four. It's too white for me and I have to run a pure actinic or two.

Re: Documenting my 90 GAllon Tank!

The aquablue + bulbs remind me of a 14k.

Re: Documenting my 90 Gallon Tank!

Thanks for that Chuck! I like the aquablue+ best myself. I especially like how I can get them at my LFS!

Re: Documenting my 90 Gallon Tank!

If I were you with five bulbs I would run two pure actinics, one midday, one 14k and one aquablue +. My favorite lighting combo is over one of my 75s here at home. I'm running two pure actinics one Giesemann midday 600k and one UV 14k. Myself and everyone else that comes to see it really likes the look.

Re: Documenting my 90 Gallon Tank!

Okay, a few more:

This rock has my frag swap prizes on it, a Garf purple bonsai, a yellow and purple Tenuis, an Aussie acro of some sort, and a very tiny RED acro. These are all very small at the moment though.

Logan picked this out for me... He went to the swap, and helped sell frags, so he got to buy one he liked too.

Sorry for the crap picture, but this is an ORA Pearlberry Acro, I traded a 24ish gallon sump for it!

Tyree flower petal cap behind an A. Gomezi:

Here is a picture of that Tort Charlie, it is on the "low side" of my tank:

THe "high side":

Re: Documenting my 90 Gallon Tank!

The coral behind the superman.......................is that the purple cap with the blue polyps?

Logan is going to love the one he picked out. I have the same green birdsnest, I will get a pic of it later and post it in my thread, OK.

Whatever you do, don't lose that tort, it is gonna be a monster in a while!!

What a great wake up call!!!!
