Colt Coral Problem
I have had a colt coral that was doing beautiful for a few months. Over the lash few months though it has been receding, getting smaller. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Reefland!
Although the common name "Colt Coral" refers to several families and species, the care is similar. Medium water flow and light intensity. Good water quality with nitrates below 30ppm should be enough to provide good growth. Many of the corals referred to as Colt Coral are listed in the most toxic category and produce chemical compounds called terpenes. Regular water changes (monthly) of at least 20% water volume must be done to reduce the buildup of these chemicals. Running carbon will also help. Regards, Kevin
