    coral cutting question.

I have a large toadstool soft coral that has over time connected itself to a different rock. All that remains of the original connection is a small thin ( less than 1/4 in around) strand streched between the two connections. Would it be ok to snip this and what should I expect when I do? I dont have a digital camera so a pic is not possible.

You can clip it and it will begin to grow a new head. IME it is one of the least stressful ways to propagate soft corals.
