WOW! I hope mine resembles that, just 1/5 the size in 4 years!
Kevin what does your CBB eat? I was not successful last time I tried one of those. |

What are you running for lights, 20k's on the ends and 10k's in the center?

Kevin,
Your orange Monti is spectacular! How's your gigas coming along? How large was it when you got it, how long have you had it and how large is it now? What does the mantle coloration look like visually and has it changed any over time? The reason I ask is because your pictures seem to show different mantle coloration but that could be the lighting or something else. I'm not getting one but if I ever get a 500+ gallon tank, I might. ![]()

George,
It was about 8" last August when I got it and much lighter in color. It is about 11" now and much darker and more blue looking. Regards, Kevin

I do believe either the 2nd or 3rd down from the top will be my new desktop wall paper!
I have a nice pic of Mike's 10g SPS up this week, the week before it was one of Gene's (I think... ) no.. it was Charlie's Achillies tang. Before that it was one of Poseidon's flower shots (the hyacinths in the snow!) Everyone has been very cooperative about posting something that catches my eye just when I want to change. My photo gallery is getting very populated by reffland tank shots! Rebecca |

just out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of a 500 gal. tank. Or the dimensions of your tank, anyway?
I can't imagine this without some numbers! Thanks, Mike |

Kevin discussed the dimensions of his tank in this feature: http://www.reefland.com/feature1103.php
Most 500-gallon tanks are custom tanks, so the dimensions vary. I saw a very nice 500-gal tank once that was made with 24mm (2x12mm laminated) Starphire glass on all four sides. It had no cross bracing of any kind, just euro bracing. It was 96"L x 40"W x 30"H.
