zooanthid growing help

i was wondering if anyone has some growing tips for me on how to grow zoos? i have had two little frags the size of my thumb and they just exist - that's it the odd new polyp here and there but never any growth. are there specific parameters that should be measured like iodine etc?

I would worry moreso about the flow than additives such as iodine, what kind of flow rates do you have in your tank? your iodine should be fine as long as you are doing somewhat normal/periodic w/c's

i have a Mag18 for a return pump zooming across the back side of the tank. the zoos are at one end and the pump return at the other. i would think flow should be good. there is about 4' of pipe the Mag has to go up to get into the tank. that's all the flow i have in the tank for now.
