alright, I have a 5 gal set up that i will be taking down soon, and it has a small rock with 2 ricordias on it, and what i want to do is take it off without having to put the peice of rock in my other tank becuase it has aiptasia on it. will i be able to just "pluck" them off or is there a special way to do this?

i use a wood chisel and work it under the ric's getting just a slight layer of rock under them, that way there's something to glue the ric to another rock to too..

hmmm, alright well i guess ill give it a try. My only worry about doing this, is that im afraid the ric will be out of the water to long while im chipping away at the rock it attached to. I wont be able to just pluck it off?

if you try to pull it off your likely to damage it. don't worry
to much about them being out of water to long. they'll be
fine for the time it'll take to pop them off the rock.
i don't mean for you to chisel the rock apart, but to take a
fairly sharp wood chisel and work it into the rock and under
the foot. you should end up with just a little bit of rubbly sand
stuck to the foot. or you can chisel the rock apart
