Red face Little white tubes are growing on live rock?

Can anyone tell me what these little white tube/worm creatures are? They have taken over just about all of my live rock. They start out small and slowly grow taller and taller... I've broken off pieces of them, but they come right back! Any ideas on how I can control these dudes?

They are feather dusters! Harmless little guys.

It's actually quite interesting watching them grow and mature to a full Feather Duster worm.

If they get to many sell them back to your LFS after they mature

How long does it take them to mature? I've had one growing up the side of a live rock for over six months and it looks nothing like the full grown feather dusters that I puchased from the LFS. It's just a long skinny gray/white tube.

Thanks, Digby

The ones you have are not going to get much larger than about 1" across the tentacle crown. Most will be around 1/2"-3/4" across. I have tons of them. The colors of mine range from off-white (light gray) to rusty-red and reddish purple.
