crocea placement..

if that is what i have???

is it better in the rock structure, or on the s and?

Do you have a picture of the clam in question? Regardless though, T.crocea or T.naxima both better kept on the rock structure, closer to the light sourse.
T.croceas are the most light demanding of the species, so if that is the one you have I'd say place it on a flat piece of rock somewhere on the top section of your reef.

T. crocea clams love the light but not too much water flow. They are nicknamed the boring clam because they bore into the rocks to protect their byssal opening. They will attach to the rock overnight if they like the location. If not they will usually jump and you will find them at the bottom of the rockwork You will then need to find another more suitable location.

Definitely a crocea....

If you don't have a piece of rock, you can also use a clam half shell. Place it in there and move the clam up under the lighting.
