feeding the tank

alright i know ive probably asked this question before, but i just need some reasurance. I currently am feeding my fish "primereef" frozen cubs every other day, and im feeding the corals "phytoplan" every other day. As of now i have 2 clownfish, 1 pygmy angel, 2 pepperment shrimp, 7 sps corals, and 1 brain, and i have a 150w mh. are there any other beneficial "foods" i can be feeding my tank?

You should be feeding the fish a mixed diet. Try including some Ocean Nutrition Flake foods and perhaps some frozen mysis as well. Instead of feeding the fish every other day, you should feed them small amounts of food a couple of times per day.

Here is the mix I use:

Formula1 frozen cubes.
Freeze-dried Plankton.
Raw shrimp from the store (41-50 count size).
Dried seaweed (Nori, Seaweed Selects)
Crushed Garlic.

I mix equal portions together, except the garlic, which is 1 tsp. I chop the ingredients with a knife but you could use a food processor too. I store the mix in an old Coolwhip container in the freezer and take it out 15-30 min before I feed so it can thaw a bit.

FYI the corals you have do not eat Phytoplankton but are carnivores that eat meat. The brain will eat small (pencil eraser size) meaty foods. There is no need to feed SPS corals.

Once or twice a day is OK if you feed small amounts at a time.

Regards,
Kevin
