My palytoxin experience

Today I was fraggin some zoanthids wearing gloves and decided to be dumb and physically break a rock using my hands. When I did my left thumb slid down the jagged chunk. It cut the glove and put a small cut right above my nail. Within seconds it was like I had a hundred pennies in my mouth. I went right up and got cleaned up with peroxide, alcohol and antibacterial soap. Right now I can't taste anything and I have a slight headache..nothing too serious. My parents are both doctors and seem to think I'll be fine. I knew it'd happen eventually. Just thought I'd share.

Just did a little reading in Anthonys book and on google. It seems my experience is very similar to many others. My headache is starting to get worse though....gettin a little pound to it and my temp has gone to 99.9.
Just my luck I was gonna have a nice day on the lake followed by a bike ride. DOH.

Well guys it wasn't that bad to tell ya the truth but thanks for the sympathy . I ended up going out that evening with my girlfriend and besides no taste til morning I only had a slight fever. Still not pleasant.

What is this White Castle you guys speak of? Must be a northern thing.

They're tiny little hamburgers on tiny little square buns. They opened a few outlets in New Orleans about 50 years ago when I was a teenager but they didn't stay open very long.

According to their website, they're still in business in a few areas: http://www.whitecastle.com/_pages/home.asp
