Once again, I say again because this happened about 6 weeks ago also, my rose anemone has split and left a small anemone behind. It was, till this morning, a large anemone spanning about 10 inches. The last time is split the peice left behind floated around for a while until it fell down behind my rock and I could not get it out. After about 2 weeks if was finally crawling out but a black crab tore it apart. I have since disposed of this crab,
as we did not put it in there and have no idea what it was. This new one has attached itself about 6 inches from its parent. Is this a good sign, the anemone splitting twice in 6 weeks time? The first time it happened my wife and I thought it was dying as we watched it happen over a 30 minute period. The other day it caught a green cromie and when I woke up this morning it was split. Does this happen often? Thanks for your help!
