Phosphate remover ok in refugium?

I have some Seachem Seagel with carbon I want to use to lower my phosphates & it says to use with a high flow rate. I usally put my carbon bag in my cpr refugium and wonder if it would be ok to put the seagel there also?

A phosban reactor works the best, and easy to use. This is the one I have on my system:

Rowaphos is the best phosphate remover media to use with it, you can get it here:

James, do you think it would be ok if you posted a pic of this setup? I just ordered it, and I want to be sure that I hook it up right when it comes in.

Thanks in advance.

Sure the that would be fine to put it there, however I would reconsider using Sea-Chems phosphate remover. It has been shown to leach aluminum into the water. This is very toxic to leather corals. I would use one of the iron based products instead, like rowaphos.

This is how mine is set up. Sorry about the picture, my photo skills aren't that great. You can see the reactor in back, and I use a Maxijet 1200 (sold separately) to drive the water through the reactor (lower right coner of sump). Then the return line empties into my filter sock, because sometimes some of the Rowaphos gets through the reactor and into your sump and eventually into your display tank and make a mess that looks like coffee grounds.
There is also a flow control valve on the intake line, to adjust the flow into the reactor. You can see mine in the picture.

Thanks James.

According to UPS, its coming in on Monday. I can't wait to set it up. I only boughtt a 90gph powerhead for it, so hopefully the Rowaphos will not get into the tank.
