We just noticed these spots on our blonde naso today. Unfortunately, we could not catch him. Too much rock work. Does this look like black ich and what are our options?
PS: the little white spots on the first picture is coraline algae on the glass.

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll put it in his aquarium!
Thanks, Dennis and Andrea
It sure looks like it to me. Does the fish exhibit scratching behaviours as one would with Cryptocaryon irritans The treatment is typically the same or a cleaner wrasse or cleaner shrimp might help.
We haven't noticed him trying to rub on anything, but were gone most of the day today. We do have 2 cleaner shrimp in the tank, but again haven't seen them cleaning the tang.
I was wondering if it were possible that those marks might be from the shrimp......
Another thing, after a bit of research "black ich" is caused by a type of flatworm. Any chance Flatworm exit might kill the little buggers??
