I have found a crab in my live rock and i was told that it could be a rock crab should i worry about him he is light brown and about the size of a nickle only comes out at night and also i have empty hermit shells any way to catch this little guy

Most crabs can cause you head-aches down the road. And from the sounds of it, you've got yourself a PIA. You can try to catch it with the 2 liter bottle trick.

Cut the 2 liter in half about, and flip the top over so the narrow opening is inside. Toss some squid or some other meaty bait in there and cross your fingers. Maybe it will work for you. OR if you want to take a more brutal and non PETA friendly approach you can do this.................

Take a piece of acrylic rod about 3 inches shorter than your tank. Attach a pin/needle securly to the end. Sit patiently and wait for him to pop his little butt out and wham! Spear him. Either way I assume you plan on disposing of him.
