how does this phosban reactor work

If I may give this a shot it appears to be fed from the center tube then comes out the side tube. The media goes between the spongesdepending on what phos remover you use will depend on what amout you use. The Valve pictured is to regulate how llong the water stays in the media.
Maybe someone else can chime in incase I am wrong in this. HTH Jeff

It works like a fluidized bed. Water comes down the center tube, then flows up around the bigger tube. The media sits at the bottom, and the water flows evenly through it. The outlet is on the top too, and that leads back into the tank. The valve regulates the water inlet, to make sure the media doesn't go into the tank with the water.
