Definitely and interesting thought. If there is one thing I have learned about SPS it is to stay away from anything wild. Frags of wild colonies grown out for several months is the best place to go if pure aquacultered isn't available.

Now on to my second set of problems.....that ph meter that fell in the sump was in there for a little while. I think that 9 volt battery that was in it caused some damage. Now my corals are looking very sick again...no color....not much polyp extension etc. This all happened one day after the meter fell in. I did a 5 gallon water change yesterday and another emergency one this morning.....might do another Monday but that's all I know to do. This small sps system is stressing me to no end. Just when I think I've got it all under control BAM something else happens. Any other suggestions as to what I might do?

Lots of Carbon?
I didn't even think of that but will get on it immediately.

I put about a pound of carbon in a very high flow area of my sump....luckily for me I bought a 50 lb box of it when I first got in the hobby for $20 bucks from a small shop that was going out of business. I still have a ton left.

Just an idea, put all the sps in the 75 and all the shrooms in the 20. Shrooms hardly need any care, so a smaller tank of them would be easier than a small tank of sps.
