will cyano go away

I have fixed my nutrient problem and my levels are good, therefore my cyano has stopped growing.

Will the cyano naturally go away? I don't love forcing anything (adding chemical) or even scratching the rocks and mixing the sandbed. If i do nothing except keep good levels, will it eventually break up and go away?

Sounds like you may have read my post here. I think it will eventually dissolve without mixing any SB, but your timeline's going to be more extended. Even if you're superficial with your mixing, i.e. just try to scrape the cyano and not the sand or rocks, you can make a difference.

Yes your cyano will definitely go away, have you considered getting a sand sifter or some sort? whether it be a star fish or any kind of fish? When i ran into cyano problems i purchased a "Strawberry Conch" within a week no more cyano and havent seen one since. Depending how big your tank is, one Conch covers about a 3' x 1' area. roughly. Goodluck, and hope its slowly going away.

Cheers
