SPS? LPS? What are they?

Sorry for the newbie questions, but I am just curious. What are LPS and SPS? What do the letters mean? Also. what does DSB and PC (not personal computer or politically correct) mean as well?

Here is a nice thread that Samper posted for us:
Abbreviations for new guys.

SPS - Small Polyped Stony Corals, usually Acropora's, Montipora's, etc.
LPS - Large Polyp Stony Corals, corals like common brains, torches, candy, etc.
DSB - Deep Sand Bed, usually referred to as 4"+ of fine particle sand used for live sand beds.
PC - Power Compact, a type of high output flourescent lighting.
