30 gal tank
20 long ref 700 gph mag pump 130 watts power compact lighting berlin in hang on skimmer 110 lbs of live rock i was just wondering if anyone might know what this cloudy coating is on the top of my water might be it has a lot of air bubbles.

It sounds like it is just a build up of proteins that have not been removed by the skimmer. This is why sumps with drilled tanks or external overflows are so important. My suggestion would be to aim a powerhead towards the surface to get it all moving. Once it is in the water column you have a chance that it will be removed by the skimmer, which is what you want.
