Reef Library
A good saltwater aquarium library is an essential part of any hobbyists collection. As much as we spend on equipment and livestock, we should always make sure to spend a good amount of money on literature, which is constantly being updated. Our library currently includes the following:
Aquarium Corals - Eric Borneman Book of Coral Propagation - Anthony Calfo Reef Invertebrates - Anthony Calfo and Robert Fenner Corals of the World: 1, 2, 3 - JEN Veron Giant Clams - Daniel Knop Concientious Marine Aquarist - Robert Fenner Modern Coral Reef Aquarium: 1 - Svein Fossa and Alf Jacob Nilsen Angelfishes & Butterflyfishes - Allen, Steene and Allen Subscription to Aquarium Fish Subscription to Coral So what's in your library? ![]() |

My first book was The new Marine Aquarium by Paletta. It was invaluable!

All of what you got, Scott, plus Marine Fishes, The Captive Reef by Dana Riddle,Advanced Reef Keeping by Albert Thiel. I also have Indo-Pacific Coral Reef Field Guide by Gerlad R. Allen and Roger Steene. There are some booklets from Dr.Shimek as well including his recent pocket guide "Marine Invertabrates".
I also bought small booklet by Carden Wallace titled Acropora, Staghorn Corals. Wonderful little book if you need to look up images and distribution of particular coral in that group. I think it may even help in identification of some of them, more common ones, of course. ![]()
