I meant baking soda, sorry.
I'm having a problem with my calcium, it's around 620+. So of course, in turn, my Alk is very low. Can dosing with baking soda raise Alk and in turn lower calcium?

Big Gulps huh? Welp, see you later.
what salt are you using and what calc. are you using. Yes you can use baking soda to raise alk. what is your alk at.
I would start with a water change... That way you can reduce the levels of Ca withOUT adding something else.
Again going off poseidon I would have to say a water change is the easiest way I would start out with a 30% water change and then just dose alk. Do a water test in 24 hours and then get set for another water change if that is not where you want it.
First, there must be a reason why the levels are out of whack. Like mentioned, water changes would help but measure the levels in you're new water also.
Baking soda is very good for raising alkalinity but I would not use it for a balancing purpose. Also be very careful when changing alk. levels. It must be done slowly or can reak havoc on corals.
