Smile Help with tank design

This tank will be a reef tank when finished. The dimensios are 108"L x 34"W x 35"H. Attatched is a drawing of the top view of the tank. The overflow is on the left (non-viewable side). All other sides will be viewable. The drain holes would be 3" diameter. The returns would be 2 3/8". The two holes in the brace at the opposite end of the tank would be for circulation. What do you think? Any problems with this design? Any suggestions? Thank you all for your input.help-tank-design-top-view.gif

The full size image is still pretty small and hard to see. However I am a bit concerned about the size holes for the drain and return. I see no reason why you would need anything larger than 1.5" for drains and 1" for returns (that is bulkhead size)?

Sorry about the small pic! The drain holes would be 2" ID and the returns 1" ID bulkhead fittings. Would this be a bad idea?

I think you can get away with 1.5" fittings for the drain, probably even 1.25". The thing here is that the standpipe (assuming you will use them) will have to be larger ID than the hole itself for correct operation.
