Winter Plans

As the cooler months and winter approaches, what kind of tank plans do you have? Throughout the summer often times our tanks are not given the care and attention they need. It's not intentional but the summer picnics and family vacations seem to take priority. For others is mowing the lawns and cleaning the garage.

Now that these activities are getting behind us, what kind of plans do you have for your tank this fall and winter?

I plan on using mine for supplemental heating in my apartment, and keeping the air nice and humid! It also takes me away from the dreary Chicago winters.

Hey, I never thought of that. My tank is gonna be a heat source. What an interesting thought. 150+ gallons of 80F water will definetly give off a little heat.

It's great! I used to get such dry skin in the winter, but the humidity from the tank has fixed that problem. My tank is right by the thermostat this year, though, so that should be interesting. We'll see how long it takes the roommate to figure that one out!
