best removal products for phosphate, silica, and metals?

There is really no way that I know of to remove "metals" from the tank nor silica. Heavy protein skimming is my only thought. For phosphate, I think dripping kalk will help precipitate phosphate so this would be my suggestion. There are a lot of (bad) opinions about materials used in popular Phosphate sponges so I would stay away from them.
Truly, I think not introducing them is your best option all around. ![]() |

Overfeeding is so easy to do since I don't want to deprive anything! My biggest downfall is I really like fish a lot and always put too many in my systems so the waste builds up quickly despite having an excellent filtration system. So to stay on top of things every two weeks I do a 50% water change on a 90g system. ![]() |
