I just bought a leather coral a few days ago (my first)(Sarcophyton) and I can see a whitish / clear like slime come off it when I blew some sediment off of it with a turkey baster is this the sheddiing or somthing else? Will this harm my other corals? Do leathers like high flow? |

Hi tango,
Here is an old thread that I thought might be helpful when I did a quick search: http://www.reefland.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8070 This is pretty commong for "leather" corals and usually considered as a way for them to rejuvenate themselves. No worries at all. |

Leather info
thanks for the info on the leather I thought it might be shedding but not sure as this is my first one. It really made a nice addition to my tank.
