Sker ~

Do you already have one of these guys?

Anyway, here's a link to some info in Fishbase: http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...sname=venustus

Scott Michael mentions it in his Angelfish articles in the July and August issues of Aquarium Fish Magazine. In the July issue he includes it with the Centropyge genus and in August he calls it a Paracentropyge. It was previously classified as Centropyge but the correct current classification is Sumireyakko venustus.

Anyway, in Scott Michael's article he says:

Genus Paracentropyge

This genus contains three species, two of which -- the multibarred (Paracenytropyge multifasciata) and the purplemask (P. venusta) -- appear in the trade with some regularity. Both of these fish are rather secretive in the wild and difficult to maintain in captivity . They often refuse to eat aquarium fare. Even if they do, it is not uncommon for them to waste away. Although their food habits are not well known, they are thought to be tunicate and sponge feeders .

These angels will usually do best in a tank with plenty of hiding places (a cave or overhang is appreciated) and that lacks aggressive tankmates. Dim lighting, such as that in a deepwater reef aquarium, may increase the likelihood of their acclimation to a captive environment. Live rock can also provide some natural food until the fish learn to accept a substitute.

In any case, these species are best left to the experts.
