Hello,
What kind of anemone is it?![]()

If it a host then no time at all. IME

MY clown never got close to my bubble anemone, But after a few months of trying to host the left hand corner of the tank he has now bonded with one of my huge colt corals, I dont think i have seen him more than three inches away from it, And at first the colts' polyps would retract each time the clown brushed up agains them, But now they do not. I think the coral no longer sees the clown as a threat.
One can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those that can do nothing for them or to them.
how do you take care of anemone?
Which species do you have? They have different husbandry requirements.Originally Posted by sandoval
In general, host anemones require good lighting and moderate water current. They also require adequate food. Exactly what food they will accept depends on the particular species. Most should be feed at least twice a week for good health.
Your Amphiprion ocellaris may or may not accept your anemone as a host. It all depends on the species of your anemone. The only clownfish that accepts all ten host anemone species is A. clarkii.
