25% Water Change

How long after a water change of this size are you able to get accurate parameter readings?

Gary,

I would say it all depends how large the tanks is and how much flow you have. I'm guessing that all you;d need is couple of hours or so to circulate and you can start taking some tests.

Well, it was a 35 gallon water change. So, a couple hours seems about right. My flow isn't quite where I want it yet, but I have plenty of turbulence.

Are you figuring the amount of water displacement from your rock too? and any other amounts of water like the sump or any other displacements like a SB either way I would say that a couple of hours is fine too. I just was curious if you where calculating your other possibilities of that might affect the actual volume of water.

Well, its a 130 tank with a bunch live rock (you saw how much ) and 60lbs of sand (more to come), plus a gutted wet dry for a mini-fuge, plus a 20 gallon sump/fuge. I just figure that a 35 gallon change is at least 25%. If its a little more then all the better IMO.
