Question Unidentified creature, any ideas?

Hi,

I have a LR with fish tank and have many of these growing on my LR and was wondering if any of you might know what it is? I have checked sea quirt and tunicate pics and have not found a match.

Thanks!
Nikki

What are you asking about? Are you talking about the Neomeris algae? That's what those bright green finger-shaped thingys are.

I was asking about the bright green finger-shaped things :-) Surprised it is a form of algae though! Is it good or bad?

Thanks,
Nikki

Nothing bad so you can consider it good.

It's harmless if that's what you mean. It's an alga that has a whitish calcareous base. Notice that the lower part will gradually turn white. I had some in my tank a few weeks after setting it up but as soon as I purchased Primus, my Foxface Rabbitfish, he ate them.

Here's a picture of mine: Pictures of Ninong's tank in progress.
