Aragamax Question

Well, you talked me into it.

Instead of Carbi Sea's Special Grade Reef Sand which everyone told me was too course (1.0-1.7 mm), I purchased their Aragamax instead (.02-1.2mm).

I am converting a 2yr old FO to a reef and have a cycled tank. I have read on here different ways to lay the sand bed and create as little "sand storm" as possible. I will let you know what happens.

My question is do I need to rinse the Aragamax? Anything else I need to do before I put it in? I am going to remove as much of my CC as possible before hand.

I did not rinse my southdown. You actually want all that "silt" it is a good thing!

Oh yeah, remove all of that CC. If you do not it will eventually rise to the top of your DSB and become a detrius trap.
