If I took a picture of my lps, that was sold to me as a favia. would you be able to tell me if it is a favia, or perhaps an acan or blasto?? Brief description, baby blue to purpleish mixed colorshas fully encased an oval rock.

I think it would be safe to say YES, if we had a picture.

Descriptions are nearly impossible to make an ID from, pictures would be the most helpful for sure.
