I would like everyone to add some info on the most common types of marine fish deseases in an aquarium, and how to deal with them (IE, copper...ect) if at all possible please include a slight discription of how it affects the fish, and or invert..coral. and personal expierences with them I would like it for my own knolage as well as a good referll to al others that brows this site. i know not everyone has a degree in marine biology but i know that there are some really smart people on this forum. thanks a lot Josh Crosson

I've had ich and a couple other bouts of various things in my time... I have killed an entire tank using Greenex because I didn'tused copper in the past. After reading an article by Anthony Calfo, I switched to formalin. If you follow the directions and dose carefully (don't think "more is better"), it works and kills all sorts of disease (not your fish). It will wipe out inverts, but then just about anything will.
I have a UV light inline in my system if I get any problems I just turn it on. I have not had any problems for 15 years or so. I know some people do not like them but I have not had a problem. I have plenty of little live stuff in my tank.
