Ok here is a shot of the 03's only. These are the lampsnow 03 pc's in 96w. There are (2) on over the tank.

Here is the tank with the (2) 250w Iwasaki's and the (2) 96w 03's. You can really tell a diffrence when you turn the blue's on/off. You dont realize how green they are until you see them under a diffent light

This makes me wonder if I really need (4)96w 03 pc's total. If I add another iwasaki I could see the need for maybe 1 more blue and a 10kk.

Paul,
Its kinda hard to tell from a pic what they look like. The only person to make any kind of lighting call is you. I stuggled with that 400 watt 12K bulb for a few months. I liked the look very much but I knew the light from the 12k wasn't getting through the glass cross brace to really have any effect on the corals. Since I switched to an Iwasaki bulb the corals have really sparked up. The good thing about the 250 watt Iwasakis is there not so butt ugly like the 400's

Mark, yea I was pleased with just the Iwasaki's, then I realized the green when I induced the blue. The tank is well lit with the 2 mh's, and I will keep the 3rd one in place and sort of wait for a while and see what comes about. I also want a local reefer to give me his .02, he has lots more experience than I and might be able to shed some more light on the subject.

Ltspd, maybe it's just that cheap green glass your tanks made of. Don't shoot me,it's just a joke.

I am using the LM electronic ballast. I amusing these due to the fact I can run Mogual and HQI from this same ballast. I bought the Iwasaki's used as a try situation. If I do decide to swap over it will be much cheaper to do so. I have not made up my mind yet, the Iwasaki's and the 03 produces a nice looking tank.

Coraltank, yea its that cheap glass I guess
