snails in refigium?
i have my refigium going now and e mailed ipsf for thier recomended kit to put in ther,and they had 24 snails one the list,4 different types.i wasnt thinking you needed snails in ther,or at least that many.just wondering what you all though.thanks chad

A few snails in there are ok. I have some babies that have taken the water ride down to the refuge.
However, the IPSF kit should be split up between the main tank and the aquarium, with MOST of it going into the main tank. I would put the snails in the main tank and some of the worms can go in the refuge. The amphipods will get there on their own. If you got caulerpa, put it in the refuge. Soon, the strombus maculatus will start having babies and they will be everywhere. mgk |
