heater question

ok i was reading the threads on temp. ok my tank runs cold at times i tryed turing the heat up but didnt change a thing i think my heaters finally tackin a poop . should i run 2 heaters ??? will this make it more stable ?? or whats a very good hearter to get ??? my heater is old but it was a very good one when i bought it 20 years ago . any idea on heaters ???

its not my lights on or off it dont make a difference i been keeping a close eye on it . becouse i thought that was it also .

75 gal tank
35 gal sump

I personally like the titanium heaters they will not break like the glass ones sometimes do . you really dont want a big temp change from night to day.

here something from marine depot this is the same brand I have.

I would go with 300watt

Might not make the tank more stable but if both thermostats are set at the same temp and one of them goes out at least you'll have some heat source versus none.

If you use 5w per gallon, just in your 75 gal main tank that's 375w plus a 35 gal sump capacity. If you use 2 heaters make the sum of the 2 equal to the total wattage required.
