ID and Question Please
Hey all,
I have this leather coral (I Think) and every now and then it sends out this very thin "fishing line" type of material and then retracts it. Sometimes it will do this over and over. Any Ideas..... |

Hi Divecon
Welcome to Reefland! Yes that is a type of leather known as a toadstool umbrella (Sarcophyton alcyonidae) The thin threadlike streamers you see that it sends out are completely normal this is a way it catches food. HTH
