Powerheads

I just got a Wavemaster Pro for my 180. My question is how should I place the powerheads. I have 4 Maxi-jet 1200s connected to the wavemaster. I also have the two returns (one in each corner) and two other power heads. They are about a foot from the ends fracing forward. Now for the 4 new ones, Right now I have two in each corner facing in and the other two are under each brace, which is about 24 inches in. These powerheads are facing in. now I guess my question is should the two on the inside be moved to the middle and faced out. Also just wanted to say that this is a great unit.... Any help would be great, thanks

you'll end up playing with it till you get a good spot, what i did with my 180, was go to home depot and got an outdoor 2 into 1 plug extension, then i plugged two power heads into one end and the other end into slot ONE of the wavemaker, this way when slot one kicks one, two Maxijet 1200's kick on at the same time, giving a better surge effect, then two three and four have single pumps on them....hth

Great idea, FishTechie! I hadn't thought of putting 2 powerheads plugged into one spot on the Wavemaster. I'll be buying a splitter on my way home today.

I assume this won't cause any problems overloading the circuit in the wavemaster?

The wavemaster is suitable for up to 720w. I also have 4 MaxiJets hooked up to mine. They won't come close to overloading it. I think from what I can remember each MJ is around 20w maybe less.
