a lot of water changes
As some of you may remember, I have been battling cyano for quite some time. I think i have it finally under control but i wanted to know the answer to the following question:
Is there any harm to the reef system in doing 10 gallon water changes in a 72 gallon tank for 5 days straight? Last week i did that in addition to doing water changes about twice a week for the past month in order to clean out the cyano. I have had coralline bleach over the past few weeks. Corals are doing better and the few fish i have in there, seem to be a lot more healthy. I have tried to keep ph, alk, calc, and sg relatively balanced. However, can the amount of water changes affect the reef to produce coralline or produce any other negative effect? Robbie |
