I don't know what to feed.

I have 120 gallon, finished cycling at least 6 weeks ago with DAS skimmer, no sump. Have 5" SD sandbed, 150# LR, added detrivore kits from IPSF and Inland 2 weeks ago with a variety of different live sand additions before that. Add B-ionic daily. I've read that I should feed the tank, some here have suggested Golden Pearls, others say use regular food. Have been also seeing stuff about DT's. I can't really tease out what the differences are and why you would feed one or the other or both. LFS suggests that I use frozen mysis shrimp for fish when I get them. I have been adding small amounts of this since I added the kits. Should I be doing this or not? I need some advice about what is a good basic routine. I know it will depend on what fish and what corals, but can you give a beginner some guidelines? I see people feed this or that everyday, or every other day. How do you sort out where to start? I'd like to get a Bangai Cardinal and later a pair of false perculas. Probably will start with a type of mushroom and an open brain. A couple of feather dusters; fire shrimp. Eventually a yellow tang with others in between, obviously over time. That's all I've thought through for now. I know not to add rapidly or too much at a time, but want to think aobut a feeding regimen. Have some turbos, nassaurius in addition to a few other snails from the detrivore kits, I need to get started feeding them, I looked for Golden Pearls but was hesitant to put in an order for just a few dollars. Are there other good items on that site to get or does it make sense to order a small amount of the Golden Pearls only and then get other foods elsewhere. If so, what? and from where? Sorry for rambling on but I want to get off to a good start. Thanks!

i would say DT's phytoplankton is what i'd use i am going to start using it myself it helps provide the right nutrients for filter feeders like dusters etc....its a very good question and i'm really not too experienced with the pearls so i'll the others take a whack at that portion. good luck and btw nice start you have a nice big tank, lots of lr, good cleanup crew it sounds like.....what more can you ask for!
