What's the going price????
I didn't know what forum this question would fall in so if you have to move it Ninong please do.
I am selling some pom-pom xenia back to the LFS here in MD. What is the going price for it? Is it priced per polyp? stalk?

Assuming they are interested in taking it off your hands, you will get a better deal if they simply give you store credit that you can use to purchase whatever you need, such as fish food, etc.
For xenia, they will expect individual small colonies mounted to small pieces of live rock. Whatever makes it easier for them to deal with. You might get $15-$20 worth of store credit per small colony. They will then turn around and ask at least double that amount for it retail.

That's cool. Getting half of what they sell it for sounds pretty decent. I have already talked with one of the owners and they are interested because they sell very fast here. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get taken for not knowing what they would pay their supplier for the same stuff.

I'd take $5 per stalk if their sell price was $10-$15. But according to what I've seen them sell Xenia for I should get more than that for some of my stock. I've seen sometimes a small stalk with maybe 5-7 polyps go for $25. Maybe what I sell it to them for will determine what they sell it for. I'm not trying to get rich off the sale of them, but at the same time I'm not trying to make them rich for my efforts either.

I give in-store credit of $12.50 to customers (depending on the species and demand) and sell them for $24.99. This is usually for one stalk with 8-10 polyps.
