LiveRock and Mandarins
I'm thinking about rearraging the LR in my tank to give it a more open look. This will require moving some of my LR to the sump. I currently have about 100-125lbs of rock in the display. If I move say about 25-50lbs of it to the sump do you think this will impact the pod availability to my mandarin? I do have a refugium setup that does have quite a bit of life running around freely.

I would say you'll probably be alright moving the rock out of the main tank to the sump.
As long as your refugeum is actually replenishing the pod population in the main tank you should be fine. If it's not you could manually move pods from the fuge to the main tank. I used to take 3" pieces of 3/4" pvc and put them in my fuge where the pods would hide in the tubes, then cap the ends of the tubes with my fingers and move them to the main tank once a week to keep the pod population up in my main tank.

Cool. I did some more searching and reading and had come across some articles of culturing pods. After a talk with my LFS guy I'm thinking of concentrating on "helping" the population in my fuge grow faster by adding greenwater or DT's to my top off water. I have never used either yet, but what do you guys think of this?
