    Orange Line Chromis

I grabbed a pair of what I believe to be Orange Lined Chromis, {acanthochromis polyacanthus}. A friend purchased 4 of them some time ago, to school in his 180. Two have perished and the other two are pretty large. At least 4in. now and no more orange stripe. Almost a complete black.

He figured they were very aggressive. Blamed the loss of his, {mine}, cinnamon clown on them and one bangaii but I find it hard to believe they could bother one of the large cinnamon,s. Everything I have found on them, say they are peaceful.

Currently reside in my 40g tub, with 3 PJ cardinals and my copperband. No aggression for almost a week now. Before that, they lived in my 55g sump, where my Kole was banished to, tempoary, until he learned to leave the copperband alone, which he did. If anything the Kole put the run on them at times.

I cant seem to find anyone who has kept these before. I wanted to keep the pair and put them into my new 180. I would assume any larger fish would be fine but I have three, year old Ora percs, that have become the female, male and the reserved "it", so I dont want them bothered either.

    Anyone?

I have never seen them myself Doug, until you posted this.

From what I can gather they should be peaceful tank mates unless breeding.

Thats only what they look like when young. Mine are now mostly black/blue colour.

No matter. A friend picked them up today for his 170. I may take a pic of them one day, just for reference on this thread.
