well, its been 5 months since i set up my tank, and i was thinking of getting another animal for the tank. I can't decide whether to go for a beginner coral or a goby. Any help in the decision would be appreciated.
www.premiumaquatics.com is having a "super sale" on corals.. i was thinking about getting either : purple green acro frag, green button polyp, brown button polyp, anthelia frag, clove frag, devils finger frag, or a green open brain or if i decide on a fish, i would most likely get either a clown goby, or 2 neon gobys any thoughts on my possible investment would be greatly appreciated! mark |

the eyelash bleenes are rely cheep and are one of my favorit fish their funny and funny looking and do an awsome job of eating alge their also cauled a lawnmower bleeny and i think they do a better job at aeting alge then most tangs. i have only hade one for about a month but when he gets scared he frezes. one day when i hade to move a rcok he would not move of the rock that i needed to move so i just gentaly picked him up from his top fin and plased him on a nother rock it was rely funny because no other fish would ever let you do that
get both if you are doing a mail order to make paying 25-40 for shiping worth it![]() Last edited by Neal359; 06-13-2001 at 04:51 PM. |

dont lawnmower blennies starve to death if they run out of algae to graze on? although, that may be a good idea, since i have an algae prob. do they eat it off the glass?
any further insight, would be great! mark |

Lawnmowers eat the algae off of anything. THey will eventually starve of you don't get them accustomed to prepared foods, like brine soaked in vitamins, formula 1, etc. If you can get them eating that stuff, they'll live forever. We got one in the store once that was the biggest one I had ever seen, it must've been 6-8 inches long. He was belligerent (sp?)

My lawnmower blenny eats everything. He still chows down on the algae, but he comes running when the dinner bell rings and eats a variety with the rest of the fish. He is an odd looking character. We named him Benny, but we usually just call him the Dragon.

ok...
sounds good, I have some bad algae! I was thinking of ordering from www.exoticfish.com Think i could order a coral along with it? to make shipping a little more worth it? After thinking it over, i would like to aim for a leather, or polyp.
mark p.s. my reef looks awesome now that the lights are on! |
