Unhappy Warning - Wrasses are Jumpers!

Maybe you knew this already, but I didn't - most of the smaller wrasses like to jump out of un-sealed tanks. My six-line went AWOL on Monday, then last night I found his corpse behind the tank. I have a DIY canopy that's open in the back, which I will now try to seal up somehow before replacing my suicidal wrasse.

Burt, why don't you use egg crate to seal it up??

Wrasses just have a tendency to jump, stuff can scare them out of the tank too, but they'll get spookedand jump when somebody closes a door loudly. I've even heard of folks having them for like 6 months and then they come home one day to fish jerky on the carpet.

Thanks Sker, I just happen to have some extra eggcrate around. I had my 6-line for 1-2 months, so I don't know if something scared him or if he just decided to make a break for it. The only other fish I have are two pink skunk clowns, and while they do get territorial with the occasional nip during feeding time, he never seemed that bothered because he can, I mean could (sob), swim circles around them. Despite the suicidal nature, I will replace him, and recommend 6-lines to anyone with flatworms, he cleaned mine out lickidy split.
