Loss of yellow in yellowstripe maroons

I purchased a pair of yellow stripe maroon clownfish almost a year ago however they have gradually lost the yellow in their stripes and the male maroon now appears just as a normal maroon clown. I feed them daily with prime reef flakes, brine shrimp, or mysis shrimp. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this "color loss" and possible reasons?

check your ph!. my foxface almost was never yellow, and now most of the time is yellow, all i did was adjusted the ph with Kent marine Ph buffer.

There is nothing wrong with a pH of 8.0; I don't think it would be the cause. Perhaps the fish is just maturing and lossing the coloration.
