If your fish is getting bristles in him it's because he is harassing the worms, not the other way around. The bristles are solely defensive. They're far too fragile to be useful for attacking.

Also, while some worms can bite, if you're thinking the same worms that the fish are getting bristled by are also biting them, it just can't happen. Those worms, the amphinomids have no jaws. All they can do is lick their food to bits. No living fish is going to sit there and allow that.

so they dont bite, but yet they lick their food to bits..really! it seems like it..

ok maybe a psuedo then, which one is the least aggresive, ive had a bicolor pseudo and a purple strawberry pseudo, bot of those attacked my gobies.

a coral banded shrimp, im afraid he will dig and get the tiger or the randalls pistol shrimp,

an arrow crab im affraid he will get my hermits or start eating some of my prepared foods instead of bristleworms

a wrasse might be an option like a sixline, those are a little aggresive , who knows of a reef safe docile wrasse.

thanks, any help would be appreciated.

If you're saying this just because BubbaWPB posted that I mentioned something about my Orchid Dottyback (Pseudochromis fridmani) eating bristleworms, I should like to point out that this does NOT apply equally to all Pseudochrmids. As I have been careful to point out in previous posts, I have only read this about Pseudochromids from the Red Sea (e.g., Fridmani, Arabian and Springeri) and my personal experience does not extend beyond P. fridmani.

I didn't want you to think that any Pseudochromid would eat bristleworms. As far as aggression is concerned, Fridmani is considered by many experts to be the least aggressive of any of the dottybacks and in my experience, mine is a relatively peaceful fish.

All of the fairy wrasses and all of the flasher wrasses are docile, reef-aquarium safe fish. None of them will bother your nice bristleworms.
