    worm

so last night I'm looking at my tank with the flashlight and i notice a whitish-pinkish, round worm crawling around one of my shrooms. Once I shined the light on it, it slowly disappeared into the rock.

Any ideas on an ID? I'm going to guess and say it's probably OK, i've never seen it before and I haven't had any weird occurances with the tank.

It's likely a peanut worm (but maybe a bristle worm). If your zoos aren't disappearing or looking unhealthy, don't worry about it. A healthy reef tank will have lots of worms (good worms).

There are some bad worms out there, but they're not so common and you'll known if you have them! Most of the bad worms are pretty scary looking and will put some noticable "dents" in your corals.

Yeah, maybe a bristleworm...does it have "hairs" going the entire length of the body? It's really hard to give an ID without a picture.
Big Gulps huh? Welp, see you later.

I don't think it's a bristle worm. I'v seen pictures of them and this doesn't look like one. It's round, 4 to 5" long.

I have yet to figure out how people take pictures of their tank without having a big "flash" in the middle of the photo

There's A LOT of species of bristle worms, and they come in all shapes and sizes.
