I went to the aquarium in Camden NJ yesterday a it was great. I saw these little garden eels and would like to know if the can be put into a home aquarium?

Hi jcm13029,
I am not sure what a garden eel is, do you know it's scientific name or could you perhaps describe it?
In the meantime, there are several saltwater eels suitable for marine aquariums. Morays, Snowflake and more are commonly available.
They can be kept in captivity but they really require a dedicated aquarium with a very deep sand bed (at least 8" deep). They are very shy. They will hide immediately if anyone comes near the tank.Originally Posted by jcm13029
Joe Kelley, whose regular reef aquarium was the Tank of the Month selection once in Advanced Aquarist online magazing on Reefs.org has a separate 180-gal seagrass tank with garden eels. He posted pictures of it previously on at least one of the boards. It looked very nice. Unfortunately his website, blueoceandesigns, is down right now for reconstruction.

I was just trolling LiveAquaria and came across this:

Don't know if it helps or not but I thought I post it anyway.
