Montipora digitata

As a lot of you know, we have a Montipora specific tank, for the most part. Thought I would share one of our very few good pictures of our "German Blue". It's been a hard one for us to get a shot of.

Lots of flow, 4000gph in our little nano-reef. I think that definitely has been a part of it. It will be interesting to see how yours develop!

I am betting my tangs would have a tougher time accidentally fragging your monti's. I have a 1" deep pile of frags below the orange digi.

Ours has fragged that particular coral several times! We've got 7-8 of them already attached in other places.

I haven't been able to get a good one. Each time I take some pictures I try one or two but nothing ever turns out good.

Yes, that picture is under 10k XM's. It stayed pretty brown under 20k's but the polyps have "silvered" up under the 10's.

Scott,

NICE CORAL! I like the "fuzzier" SPS myself...

I think we need to see the full tank, even if you don't love the pic!

It is pretty hard to get the "true color" with a camera I've never actually gotten a perfect pic of it

I agree! Post a full tank shot! Try and move you EV down to -1, it should help.

OK, we need to bump this up to see if we can shame Scott into posting a full tank shot.

Alright, you'll have to give me some time. I need to go in with the razor blade to clean the glass and then I'll see what I can come up with.
