any info on tunze turbelle stream pump?

    these pumps sure look good!

the 6060 even has controller to control flow, feeding pause and auto slowdown for night time.

anyone have any knowledge about these? here is link:http://www.tunze.com/149.html?&L=1&C..._tunzeprod_pi1[predid]=-infoxunter025

what other pumps do you all like for your reef?

    my tank is 75 gallon.

I have a Tunze 6060, but it does not have those features. I believe only the 6000, 6100, and 6200 models are controlable.

I don't think the 6060 is controllable either; we have two of them in our 75 and enjoy the flow in the tank If I had it to do over I think I would have gotten one of the larger models that was controllable and stuck with just one of them.

I have a 6100. And it really moves some water. It can be controled - water flow, feeding button etc. It would be the next step up from 6060.

I have a pair of 6100 pumps on a MultiController. They create a lot of flow and are very efficient. They do need fairly frequent cleaning. The tolerances are tight and a little calcium buildup will jam them up. Mine get soaked in vinegar about every two months.

Same here, I have two 6100's in my 90g. Best toys I have in my tank.

I third the 6100's. They add a lot of motion and the programming feature is really nice. I've had mine running since March and never cleaned it . . . . It seems to be running great. Should I soak preemptively? or wait until it shows signs that the performance is being impeded?

Before hand. You'd be surprised how the calcium deposits can reduce the flow of the pump. I like to do it once a month or so.
